The Ceremonial Start of the Historic Acropolis Regularity Rally took place! The 53 crews that successfully passed the Administrative and Technical Checks ascended the starting ramp on Friday afternoon, marking the beginning of their precision race, which will conclude on the afternoon of Sunday, November 10, after completing 22 Regularity special stages with a total of 190 measurements. The event was honored by the presence of the Deputy Minister of Sports, Giannis Vroutsis, who flagged off the teams. Among others present at the Ceremonial Start were Attica Region Road Safety Consultant Konstantinos Markouizos, Athens Deputy Mayor of Infrastructure Andreas Grammatikogiannis, Police Brigadier General Pinelopi Falkou representing the Hellenic Police, Nikos Vasileiou, PR Manager of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EBEA), and the Executive Director of Motorsport Greece, Aristotelis Vavougios. Also giving the official start were the president of OMAE, Dimitris Michelakakis, AMOTOE president Maria Tsesmeli, Historic Acropolis Rally Organizing Committee Chair Fotini Psarrakou, as well as representatives from the event’s sponsors.
Right after the start, participants headed to the Alexandria Conference Center in Loutraki for a regrouping stop, before embarking on five precision stages, including two night stages. Specifically, participants will pass through Kiato, Lake Stymphalia, Lykohia, Dafni, Lake Ladonas, and Tropaia in Arcadia, before arriving at Ancient Olympia for an overnight stay.
The total distance of the Historic Acropolis Regularity Rally is approximately 860 km, including 22 Regularity special stages and 190 measurements, divided into three legs and five sections.
